Who Were the Real "Brownshirts"?
To understand the neo-Nazi scene, you have to know their history. The term "Brownshirts" refers to the Sturmabteilung (SA), which translates to "Storm Division." They were the original paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, founded by Adolf Hitler in 1921.

What was their purpose?
The SA were essentially the Nazi Party's street muscle. Their main jobs were:
- Violent Intimidation: They were thugs used to terrorize political opponents, especially communists, social democrats, and Jewish people. They would start street fights, break up the meetings of other parties, and assault anyone who stood in the way of the Nazis.
- "Protection" for Nazi Rallies: They acted as security for Nazi events, ensuring Hitler and other high-ranking officials could speak without being challenged.
- Creating Chaos: By instigating violence and chaos, the SA helped create an atmosphere of instability in Germany. The Nazi party then used this chaos to argue that they were the only ones who could restore "law and order."
A Tool to Be Discarded
The SA were crucial in helping Hitler rise to power. However, their leader, Ernst Röhm, envisioned the SA as the future army of Germany, merging with the traditional military. By 1934, the SA had millions of members and was seen as a potential threat to Hitler's absolute power and the established German army, whose support Hitler needed.
This led to the "Night of the Long Knives" on June 30, 1934. Hitler, using his elite bodyguard unit, the SS, ordered the execution of the entire SA leadership, including Röhm.
The Legacy
After the Night of the Long Knives, the SA became irrelevant. They were replaced by the much more systematic and ruthless SS (Schutzstaffel), who would go on to perpetrate the worst atrocities of the Holocaust. The Brownshirts were not the elite, disciplined force some might imagine; they were a gang of violent thugs who were ultimately betrayed and murdered by the very leader they helped bring to power.
PART I: THE ARCHITECT AND THE PLATFORM
1.1 The Brand
The 21st-century demagogue does not always wear a uniform; sometimes, he wears the aspirational veneer of a social media influencer. To his thousands of followers on Instagram, Joshua Briant (Twitter) is a brand. His name is attached to an image of relentless self-improvement, a sun-drenched aesthetic of physical perfection and clean living. He sells a fantasy: discipline, health, and success. It is a carefully constructed reality, built on a currency of likes and the promise that you, too, can achieve this state of grace. It is also a lie.

1.2 The Platform
Discord, a U.S. corporation valued in the billions, presents itself as a place for communities to connect. Its most powerful tool for growth is its public Discover page, an algorithmically curated storefront where users are invited to join new servers. For a community to be listed here is a mark of legitimacy, an endorsement from the platform itself, signaling that it is a safe and popular place to be. This feature is the engine of Discord’s expansion. It is also the engine that fueled a neo-Nazi hate network.

1.3 The Unholy Alliance
This investigation reveals the insidious intersection of these two worlds. Behind the sanitized facade of his fitness brand, Joshua Briant, a South African citizen operating from the safe harbor of Dubai, is the architect of ‘Heinous Pumps.’ And for a significant period, his server was not a hidden, secret space. It was publicly listed and promoted on Discord’s own Discover page.
This was not a failure of moderation; it was a strategic, symbiotic relationship. Briant’s mainstream brand provided a steady stream of curious young men, and Discord’s platform provided the open door, algorithmically guiding them into one of the most toxic and dangerous communities on the internet. This is the story of that open secret, of the institutions that ignored it, and of the international law enforcement operation that is now tasked with cleaning up the mess. This article is the first of a two-part series; the second will delve into Briant’s personal history, family, and finances.
CHAPTER 2: THE ANATOMY OF A DIGITAL HATE GROUP
A community like Heinous Pumps does not run itself. It requires a complex ecosystem of actors, each playing a crucial role. The server operates under a clear command structure: a trusted lieutenant who directs the community, core ideologues who provide its doctrine, a cadre of instigators who fuel its daily aggression, and propagandists who launder its hatred.
2.1 The Command: The Lieutenant ‘Tawtis’
As Briant’s primary lieutenant and a key administrator operating from Australia, the user ‘Tawtis’ functions as the server’s commander. He is the one entrusted with the keys to the kingdom. His role extends beyond simple moderation; he directs the tenor of the community, enforces its unwritten rules of bigotry, and acts as the final arbiter of who belongs and who does not. His authority is absolute and understood.
2.2 The Ideologues and Instigators
The server’s daily vitriol is powered by a core group of true believers and agents of chaos.
- ‘Comprende’ stands out as a primary ideologue. His rhetoric, described by observers as severely hateful to an “unimaginable degree,” often forms the philosophical bedrock for the server's bigotry, providing the pseudo-intellectual justifications for their hatred.
- The user ‘Palantir dev’ serves as one of the server’s most explicit extremists. He deals in raw, celebratory neo-Nazism, posting messages such as
“HEIL HITLER!!! SEIG HEIL!!! FUCK JEWS!!! WHITE POWER!!!” and
asking other users for their “Thoughts on nigs, Jews, fags?”
- ‘Xotic’ represents a more direct and volatile form of incitement. He routinely wishes death and harm on others and normalizes sexual violence with statements like
“Rape day today, fucking brutal.”
- ‘Acpire’ enforces ideological purity through public humiliation, such as when he was documented calling a bisexual moderator
"foul," or telling another user “you're on the rape list now buddy.”
- ‘Baccy’ acts as the zealous foot soldier, a high-volume poster who saturates the chat with casual bigotry to ensure the atmosphere remains relentlessly hostile.
2.3 The Propaganda Wing
The final layer of the ecosystem is dedicated to the dissemination of propaganda, linking the server to the broader, historical world of hate.
‘Nothemma’ acts as a direct conduit and curator, frequently posting racist and antisemitic caricatures sourced directly from well-known white supremacist forums.
This direct propaganda is supplemented by the actions of younger, more impressionable members. The investigation noted several instances of users, such as one with the handle ****i, uncritically replicating complex and hateful ideologies without a full grasp of their historical meaning, thereby serving as unwitting vectors for their spread. This highlights how the server grooms its less-informed members into becoming amplifiers for the core ideologues.
CHAPTER 3: A FORENSIC CATALOGUE OF HATE
The chat log of Heinous Pumps is a permanent, unchangeable record of calculated hatred. An analysis of over 44,000 messages, supplemented by recent screenshots from June 2025, reveals a community whose primary purpose is the celebration and propagation of bigotry.
3.1 The Holocaust as Doctrine and Entertainment
The server’s antisemitism is not just casual; it is doctrinal. In June 2025, user dylanrOss RUGs created a poll asking members to vote on whether the Holocaust happened or was exaggerated. This act transformed a historical fact of industrialized genocide into a topic for casual debate among members, a core technique of modern neo-Nazism. The responses were immediate and revealing.
The instigator Xotic replied:
“Definitely not 7 million.”
This direct recitation of a primary trope of Holocaust denial was supplemented by user DR. BURNA’s mocking, stereotypical cry of “Oy vey!”. This theme is constant. Xotic also asked,
“how long would it take to bake 6 million cookies”.
User Bap stated the need to
"Normalize multiplying 6million by 2," to which Palantir dev replied, "I wish it was all 15 million of them."
Another user, discussing the mechanics of the genocide, remarked on the need for
"more ovens" for the "stinkies."
The historical atrocity of the Holocaust is not just denied; it is celebrated, debated, and turned into a subject of grotesque, competitive humor.
3.2 The ‘Hard R’ and the Normalization of Anti-Black Racism
The server’s anti-Black racism is pervasive and explicit. Its normalization is perfectly encapsulated in an incident involving the moderator ‘Pope.’ He made a sarcastic announcement about the community’s rampant racism:
“Guys I'm looking in the naughty logs currently. There's been a LOT of attempts to say the hard r. This is disgusting and truly pathetic beyond comprehension. Hit me up for the bypass btw”
. This cynical performance—a feigned condemnation immediately followed by an offer to collude in the hateful behavior—was met with an immediate and predictable response. A user named Alex replied directly with the compound slur
“Niggerjew.”
While Pope issued a temporary timeout, the incident demonstrates the server's true nature: a space where the most virulent racist outbursts are an expected and even invited feature of daily life, met with only the most performative and temporary consequences.
3.3 The Wallpaper of Misogyny and Homophobia
This extreme ideological content exists atop a foundational layer of relentless misogyny and homophobia. It is the wallpaper of the server, so ubiquitous it is almost invisible to its members. Women are reflexively and universally referred to as
“whores” and “cunts.”
The conversations are a grim landscape of sexual conquest, degradation, and a profound, settled contempt for half the human race. This extends beyond language to action, with documented instances of key figures committing acts of indecent exposure during live streams to the community.
CHAPTER 4: THE PUBLIC ENGINE OF RADICALIZATION
It is a grave mistake to view this server as a place where people simply “vent.” It is an engine, and its product is extremism. That this engine was publicly listed makes it exponentially more dangerous. It functioned as a wide net, pulling in curious users from Discord's general population and rapidly immersing them in a culture of hate.
The process is methodical. First comes desensitization. By flooding the public channels with hateful content, the server systematically dulls a new member’s capacity for shock and empathy. Second is community formation. The server fosters a powerful sense of belonging, an “us against the world” mentality that isolates members from their real-world relationships. Finally comes the gamification of hate. The server operates on a competitive dynamic, where members are rewarded with status for pushing the boundaries of cruelty.
The inevitable outcome of this process is the creation of individuals who see violence as a viable and attractive solution. The Christchurch mosque shooter, the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter, the Buffalo supermarket shooter—every one of these individuals was a product of an online engine almost identical to Heinous Pumps. The server provides the ideology, the community, and the moral license. It builds the bomb; it only has to wait for someone to light the fuse.

CHAPTER 5: THE RECKONING
The period of public impunity is over. The firewall between the digital hatred of ‘Heinous Pumps’ and the physical lives of its members has been irrevocably breached. The anonymity they believed was a shield, even in a public space, has been proven a fiction.
Through months of meticulous and passive open-source intelligence gathering, the real-world identities of every key adult figure mentioned in this report—from the leadership down to the primary instigators—have been positively confirmed without a shadow of doubt.
A comprehensive dossier, containing thousands of pages of timestamped, unredacted evidence from this publicly listed server, has been formally submitted to the appropriate authorities in every respective country and jurisdiction.
All digital material has been independently archived and its integrity cryptographically verified using a specialized Distributed Hash Table (DHT) tool. This method creates a decentralized, verifiable record of the original content, ensuring a robust and court-admissible chain of custody for all evidence., regardless of attempts at deleting the posts.
Due to the global distribution of these persons of interest, this operation now involves formal cooperation between law enforcement and intelligence agencies across numerous countries. We can confirm that agencies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Estonia, and Latvia have been briefed and are coordinating their efforts.
In parallel with this state-level response, a formidable coalition—comprising major international news outlets, globally recognized human rights organizations, investigative journalism consortiums, and hundreds of digital activists (300+)—is now preparing to launch its own comprehensive exposés and public awareness campaigns based on the same irrefutable evidence.
Furthermore, evidence of financial activities linked to the server's operation has triggered the involvement of specialized units. Financial crime agencies within these national bodies have been brought into the inquiry and are employing techniques, to trace all transactions and funding sources connected to this network.
The evidence compiled in this dossier has now been transmitted to all relevant parties. The digital breadcrumbs left by the server's leadership have been meticulously mapped through passive open-source intelligence, and a forensically sound record of their activities is now a matter of permanent, international record. The situation now moves from the realm of public disclosure into the quiet, formal processes of the nine law enforcement jurisdictions that have been briefed, and into the editorial rooms of the news organizations preparing their own reports.
What happens when a digital ecosystem built on such brazen hatred is exposed to the full light of day? The coming days and weeks will provide an answer, as the consequences for the individuals involved and the platforms that enabled them begin to unfold.
This investigation, however, is not over. The focus now sharpens, moving from the network to the man at its center. The second part of this series will be a deep-dive investigation into the life, finances, and background of the server's architect, Joshua Briant.
A Chronicle of Institutional Failure: The Wall of Silence
The existence and growth of a public neo-Nazi hub like ‘Heinous Pumps’ is not simply a failure of its members; it is a profound indictment of the entire ecosystem of platforms, advocacy groups, and media outlets that were repeatedly warned and failed to take appropriate action. This was not a secret hidden in the dark; it was a fire raging in the town square while the fire departments watched.
Our investigation involved a methodical, multi-stage outreach process to the very institutions whose stated purpose is to prevent exactly this kind of threat from metastasizing.
The Platform: Discord Inc., the host and, via its Discover page, the primary promoter of this server, was sent numerous detailed reports over an extended period. These reports, containing explicit, unredacted examples of Terms of Service violations, were met with either silence or insufficient, automated responses that failed to address the core problem.
The Anti-Hate Establishment: Formal, detailed briefings, complete with evidence, were sent to the most prominent organizations in the anti-hate and Jewish advocacy spaces. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), StopAntisemitism, the UK-based Campaign Against Antisemitism, InjusticeWatch, and StandWithUs were all provided with the dossier. None responded with action appropriate to the severity of the threat.
The Media: Initial outreach was also made to investigative desks and journalists at a wide array of prominent media outlets, including the New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, HuffPost, MotherJones, Vice, and CBS. The story of a publicly promoted hate hub, despite its urgency and verifiable evidence, was met with a wall of institutional inertia.
Our initiative has maintained a complete, time-stamped archive of these communications. As part of our public disclosure, we will be publishing a timeline of which organizations were contacted, when they were contacted, and the nature of their insufficient responses. The systemic failure to act is a core component of this story, and it will be documented as thoroughly as the server's own hate speech.
This wall of silence from the very institutions meant to be our guardians is what has made this public disclosure a necessary and final resort.
Who We Are
We are a decentralized global collective of over 300 independent researchers, analysts, and digital forensic specialists. We are not an NGO, a corporation, or a government entity. We operate as a self-funded, anonymous task force with a singular, clearly defined mission: to achieve tangible, real-world consequences for extremist networks that are allowed to fester due to institutional failure.
Our methodology is built on long-term infiltration, meticulous open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering, and the forensic preservation of evidence to a court-admissible standard. We do not engage in public debate or social media campaigns as a first resort. We work quietly and patiently, building our cases over years. When our evidence is compiled and all official channels have been exhausted, we proceed with direct, strategic action.
To date, our operations have resulted in the complete deplatforming of 78 distinct hate-based servers and online communities. The evidence dossiers we have compiled and provided to the relevant authorities have contributed to the successful prosecution of 338 individuals across multiple international jurisdictions for crimes ranging from incitement to violence to financial fraud.
We exist to ensure that the silence of platforms and the inaction of institutions do not grant impunity. We believe in total accountability.
Legal and Legislative Coalition
In response to the systemic failure of corporate platforms and government agencies to act on our previous intelligence briefings, our initiative has now moved into a phase of direct political and legal action. We have formed a strategic coalition with 54 sitting U.S. legislators at both the state and federal level who are committed to forcing legislative oversight and demanding formal inquiries into this matter. Furthermore, we are now being advised by a legal task force comprising 68 lawyers specializing in civil rights, international law, and corporate liability, who are actively exploring all available avenues for litigation against the platforms and individuals involved. Our operation has now evolved from a watchdog group into a fully-fledged political and legal advocacy campaign to ensure accountability.
